Domestic Wire

API Documentation

Braid provides the capability to send and receive wires via the Federal Reserve's Fedwire system. Fedwire allows the transmission of funds in real-time from any bank account.

You'll receive a webhook and an event will be generated each time a wire is transmitted to your bank account.

While wire transactions can be sent to Braid at any time, it's important to note that they are only processed by the Federal Reserve during business hours. Specifically, these transactions are processed beginning at 9:00 p.m. Eastern Time (ET) on the preceding calendar day and end at 7:00 p.m. ET, Monday through Friday, excluding holidays. For instance, the Fedwire Funds Service commences its operation for Monday as early as 9:00 p.m. on the preceding Sunday. The cut-off time for initiating transfers intended for the benefit of a third party (such as a bank's customer) is 6:45 p.m. ET each business day.
